If you are wondering how to get a girlfriend back, then you may be at a turning point.

Perhaps you’re trying to figure out if you should start thinking about letting her go rather than getting her back. This is individual decision that you’ll have to weigh carefully in your heart and mind. But, that being said, I urge you to follow your heart. Finding love is not something that happens every day. While there are some cases where it’s a good idea to move on, it’s difficult to know how to do that. This part of the advice is actually similar to what I give to those who are going to get back together. It’s time to cut off all contact for now (you can reconnect as friends later). Take this time to "get to know" yourself again.
Another reason why you should move on is if your relationship has done more harm than good to you as an individual. Good relationships help strengthen you as an individual. If you have lost a sense of yourself, it is probably in your best interest to move on.

Do the things you’ve always enjoyed doing. This might be playing sports, playing video games, hanging out with friends, doing volunteer work, or just vegging on the couch. Whatever it is; be a little bit selfish! The next thing you’re going to need to do is start eating healthier and exercising. This might seem to be strange advice in a relationship article, but it really will help you with every aspect of your life.

After you have gotten right with yourself, it’s time to start dating again — whether you want to get back together with your ex-girlfriend or not! Once again, this is might not seem like what you need right now. Trust me — It is all part of becoming a more well-rounded person. It will also help you make up your mind as to whether you are just holding on to the past because that is what you are used to, or if you are truly ready to move on. These dates don’t need to be long term — dating can just be fun for now.

If you find yourself thinking that the relationship you used to have is where you need to be right now, then it’s time to plan your reconnection with your ex-girlfriend. If you have decided that it’s time for you to move on, you will likely feel more confident about your decision now that you have taken these steps.
